Green appointed to Iowa Board of Psychology
Melinda Green, associate professor of psychology at Cornell College, has been appointed to the Iowa Board of Psychology. The board evaluates the qualifications of applicants for licensure and grants licenses to those who qualify, establishes rules and regulations to ensure the integrity and competence of licensed psychologists and investigates complaints for unprofessional conduct.

Cornell College partners for research
Cornell is one of five Iowa colleges and universities that have joined with Tanager Place, a community mental health facility, to create the Tanager Place Research Center. The center will help develop a fellowship program for faculty and students to help perform research, as well as share the findings.

Linked courses study wildlife conservation in Costa Rica
To fully understand efforts to protect sea turtles and other tropical animals, it’s useful to visit a place like Costa Rica and meet the people involved. It’s even more helpful to be guided by experts in both the fields of biology and psychology/sociology, as a group of Cornell students were in 2011.

At Cornell he’s found ample opportunities to explore, but through Dimensions opportunities he’s also begun to chart a purposeful course towards a career in public health.
