Association of Women Students Handbook

Story-related photo 926

For decades the college’s Association of Women Students was in charge of minor disciplinary matters and regulating the life of women on campus. The handbook covered matters such as dress code, visiting hours for men, obtaining permission for staying out later than 7:40 p.m., and signing in and out. By the late 1960s the regulations were being relaxed, and by the 1970s such restrictions were a thing of the past.
