The Cornell College Board of Trustees has elected one new Board member at its fall meeting for a three-year term: Ann Parker Foote ’79.
Foote spent 40-plus years in telecommunications with Northwestern Bell, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. She later became an operations executive and, in 2018, opened her own business consulting firm. She now mentors with the SCORE organization—the nation’s largest network of expert volunteer business mentors who support entrepreneurs and small businesses.
A dedicated Cornell volunteer, she has served as a class agent and Alumni Board member. She and her husband, Kevin Foote ’79, are also President’s Society members and campus donors. Foote grew up in Jesup, Iowa, and graduated from Cornell in 1979 with majors in politics and history. She was active in the music department, student government, and Phi Omega, which she also led as president. Kevin Foote was inducted into the Cornell College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1992 and earned 12 varsity letters in football, wrestling, and track.
Foote has also served as a Presbyterian church elder, Presbytery council member, and General Assembly commissioner. She is also a certified election official in Minnesota and Florida. She and Kevin split time between Naples, Florida, and Minneapolis, and are proud parents of a daughter in Minneapolis and a son in Austin.
