A Cornell College junior, Jacob Redington, has unexpectedly passed away. The cause of death is undetermined at this time as local authorities begin their investigations. There is no active threat to campus. We are cooperating fully in the investigation.
The main student body is off campus for winter break through Jan. 10, 2026. Students may reach out to the college chaplain or Ebersole Health and Wellbeing Center staff members for support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jacob’s family.
