Millman accepts role of assistant VP of Business Services, controller

Cornell College is proud to announce the hire of Sarah Millman as our new assistant vice president of Business Services and controller for the college.

“I am honored to join Cornell College as the assistant vice president of Business Services/controller, where I will support the institution’s financial stewardship, long-range planning, and commitment to student-centered excellence,” Millman said. “I am deeply committed to building strong partnerships, supporting responsible decision-making, and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and service.”

Millman brings more than ten years of experience in both private and public accounting, in which she has developed skills in financial reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, tax preparation, and process improvement.

She will oversee the Business Services Office team and will help manage the college’s finances and assets, while overseeing audits, reporting, and budgeting. Millman holds a master of Business Administration from the University of Dubuque. She also has dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and human resources.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to the team,” said Rob Levis, Cornell's vice president, CFO, and treasurer. “Her strong financial leadership and understanding that a successful business model is both mission-driven and people-centered make her an outstanding addition to Cornell. We’re confident her expertise will strengthen our financial strategies and help position the college for long-term success.”

Millman lives in eastern Iowa with her husband and two children. She enjoys coaching elementary through junior high boys and girls basketball and traveling. She also has a passion for lifelong learning.

“I am excited to begin this next chapter with Cornell College and look forward to supporting its mission, its people, and its future,” Millman said.

Millman starts on Dec. 11, 2025.
