Cornell’s Black Awareness Cultural Organization (BACO) is planning events and raising awareness about Black History Month throughout the month of February.
During this Black History Month, BACO is excited to share its social media campaign. President Jada Sabir ’25 says the group is planning to feature information on people who made an impact during the Civil Rights Movement or who played an important role in Black History Month on their account every Tuesday and Thursday during February. You can find and follow BACO on Instagram @baco_cornellcollege.
“This month is for BACO to bring awareness to certain things in the community and to celebrate the accomplishments of the Black community,” Sabir said. “We hold these events to help people learn about our experiences and also enjoy the things that we can share.”
This year’s Black History Month events are free and open to the public.
