Associate Professor of Engineering Niloofar Kamran shared her expertise in a Business Insider article published on July 11, 2023, “Flying to space may be more regulated than a dive in an OceanGate submersible—but both require tourists to acknowledge they might die.”
Kamran studies new technologies in the aerospace industry, and her research focuses on controlling nonlinear systems. She holds a Ph.D. in engineering physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, an M.S. in aerospace engineering, and B.S. in mechanical engineering. She joined the Cornell College faculty in 2017.
