At his frequent house parties, Stephen Lacey ՚65 often served a legendary concoction called the Archbishop, named after episcopal priest Howard Happ ՚64, Lacey’s life companion. Below is the version of the recipe that a former student, Tony Vaver ՚88, recalled.
The Archbishop
2 cups of vodka
2 cups of hot coffee
3 cups of ice cream
¼ cup of dry sherry
⅛ cup of Kahlua
Blend in batches and serve over scoops of ice cream.
