Kamran interviewed by ABC News

ABC News interviewed Assistant Professor of Engineering Niloofar Kamran for the article, “Japanese billionaire Maezawa selects 8 to join SpaceX moon trip,” published Dec. 9, 2022.

Professor Kamran holds a Ph.D. in engineering physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, and an M.S. in aerospace engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, Iran. She joined the Cornell College faculty in 2017.The engineering professor tells ABC News that she hopes her students see the project, dearMoon, as a way to show how well-rounded, creative people can do extraordinary things.

Kamran recently wrote an article about Space tourism for the Cornell Report. 

Kamran has worked at Cornell College since 2017. She is interested in new technologies in the aerospace industry. Her research focuses on controlling nonlinear systems. Kamran holds a Ph.D. in engineering physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, an M.S. in aerospace engineering, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering.
