Cornell Report wins 2nd international DEI award
The “I See You” issue of the Cornell Report guest edited by Heather ‘Byrd’ Roberts ’09 has won another international award—a Communicator Award in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) category for Marketing/Promotion.
The summer 2021 issue was selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts as an Award of Distinction (Silver) award winner, for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
Each year about 10 percent of entries are awarded the honors of Excellence and 25 percent receive Distinction. The Academy received an estimated 4,000 entries this year.
This “I See You” issue of the Cornell Report previously won an Anthem Award in the DEI category. This special issue engaged 19 alumni of color, brought college leadership to the table, and resulted in institutional growth along with a pledge to create stories now and in the future that are more diverse, more equitable, and more inclusive.
The Cornell Report is produced by Cornell College and designed by Amy Belice Graphic Design.
