Meet Ulysses, our fearless mascot

He’s a ram, sure, but there’s a lot more to him than his fuzzy visage.

Selfies, high-fives, Zamora’s coffee, local farm-to-fork food at the Hilltop Café, crocheted rams, puzzles, the Cornell Bookstore, trophies, and pep rallies.

Favorite things to do

Sledding down Pres Hill during winter, parades (anytime and anywhere), snoozing in hammocks, cheering the Rams, browsing at the Luce Art Gallery, making his mark at Chalk the Walk, eating at Late Night Breakfast, giving scratches during Pet Therapy Day, and playing foosball.

Favorite authors

James Joyce, Winifred Mayne Van Etten, and Robert P. Dana.

Cornell Success Lab, Cornell’s Lunch Buddies, supporting Cornell students.

Best friends

Cornell T. Moose, Alphonse AlgeBear, and DiDi, President Brand’s canine running buddy.

Charlie the KoHawk (of Coe College). The Cornell vs. Coe rivalry is the oldest college football rivalry west of the Mississippi River.

Favorite traditions

Ringing the bell when a victory on the field is achieved, the toilet paper toss on the basketball court when Cornell scores the first basket in a home game against Coe, painting The Rock and the kiosks.

Favorite color

Purple, of course!
