Aria Dehshid: Experience of a lifetime

Because of his personal weight loss and fitness journey, junior soccer player Aria Dehshid decided to help others when the pandemic hit by launching an online coaching-personal training business.

This kinesiology major with a personal training and coaching certificate now has 120 clients from around the world—and a second phone to stay connected with them.

A native of Tehran, Iran, he’s studying remotely this semester but will be back on the Hilltop in January. He says he learned a lot from his physiology class about testing his body and developing his performance, and “gained an experience of a lifetime” on the soccer team.

“Besides my soccer improving to extreme levels,” he says, “I have developed a high standard of responsibility and organization.” 

Clearly, he has put those skills to use with his new business.
