Forbes, KCRG cover esports donation

A Forbes article, “How Colleges Are Stepping Up to Fight COVID-19,” reports on Cornell’s esports team’s move to donate processing power

Cornell is donating spare clock cycles—or processing power—of its powerful graphics cards on the college’s 12 esports arena computers to a global network of PCs forming an international supercomputer. Researchers are using this supercomputer to simulate COVID-19 proteins.

KCRG-TV9 also interviewed esports Coach Mayson Sheehan about the donation in a story, “Cornell College Esports team lending a hand to coronavirus researchers,” which aired on March 27, 2020.
