Jana Klein, chemical stockroom manager in Russell Science Center, realized that the college had unused gloves at the end of the year since no lab classes are on campus Blocks 7 and 8. So she asked science faculty if she could donate them to support the county’s health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once they agreed, she sent 188 boxes of gloves to Linn County Emergency Management. “If we could save enough gloves for a couple of blocks or for summer research, then it was the responsible thing to do,” she said.
