Cornell stockroom manager coordinates glove donation

Jana Klein, chemical stockroom manager in Russell Science Center, realized that the college had unused gloves at the end of the year since no lab classes are on campus Blocks 7 and 8. So she asked science faculty if she could donate them to support the county’s health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once they agreed, she sent 188 boxes of gloves to Linn County Emergency Management.

“If we could save enough gloves for a couple of blocks or for summer research, then it was the responsible thing to do,” she said.
