Chronicle shares news of Crawford’s hire

The Chronicle of Higher Education included news on Cornell’s new vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college in its “Transitions” article.

Ilene Whitney Crawford, a 1992 graduate of Cornell College, will become the first chief academic officer at Cornell who studied under its distinctive One Course At A Time curriculum, July 1, 2020.

Crawford is associate vice president for academic affairs at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Conn. Prior to that appointment in 2015, she taught English, women’s studies, and interdisciplinary studies at the university for 15 years.
