After failing for a bit, I decided to go back to a proven method and hit up the Berry Career Institute for some help. They were planning a Career Tour to Des Moines and were going to visit companies in the area, among them Principal Financial Group and Merchants Bonding. This trip was insanely Valuable. I got exposure to companies and industries I had never considered before and wouldn't have thought needed software engineers. I also got to experience a bit of what Des Moines is like, plus it was all free!" The final part of the poster reads: "When I got back from the trip, I applied to Principal and Merchants and got offers from both! I owe a lot of my success to the Berry Career Institute. They were instrumental to getting me where I needed to be and in front of the people I needed to meet."
