Local TV covers Grinnell-Cornell game cancellation

KCRG-TV9 aired a story Oct. 1, 2019, on Cornell’s adjustment to Grinnell College canceling the remainder of its football season—including the Cornell game Nov. 9.

They interviewed Athletic Director Keith Hackett, who said he was “disappointed for our student-athletes, that we have one less game, and for their student-athletes that don’t get to finish the season.” 

The KCRG story concluded by saying that while Hackett said he was disappointed that Grinnell’s season was canceled, he added that he believes the Pioneers’ athletic department made the right call in putting health and safety first.
