Cornell listed among Washington Monthly’s top 50 liberal arts colleges
Cornell College is among the top 50 institutions listed on Washington Monthly magazine’s Liberal Arts Colleges 2019 rankings, which includes 214 institutions across the country.
Cornell landed a spot on the list at #33.
According to Washington Monthly’s website: Our rankings consist of three equally weighted portions: social mobility, research, and community and national service. This means that top-ranked colleges needed to be excellent across the full breadth of our measures, rather than excelling in just one measure.
Cornell was also listed on Washington Monthly’s Best Bang for Buck–Midwest ranking at #77 of 372 schools. This list measures how well institutions help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
The release of the 2019 college rankings marks Washington Monthly’s 15th year for rating colleges and universities.
