Cornell Report, Lane Press win printing award
Printing Industries of New England (PINE) awarded Lane Press a Pinnacle (Gold) Best in Category award for its superb printing of the fall 2018 issue of the Cornell Report. Lane won in the Environmentally Sound Materials category.
Based in Vermont, Lane Press is the only printer in North America dedicated solely to magazine publishers. It enters a handful of magazines into a select few printing competitions each year, and this year the fall Cornell Report was identified as displaying both technical and artistic excellence—and PINE’s independent judges agreed.
“We entered the magazine in Environmentally Sound Materials for several reasons, including using vegetable-based inks and recycled paper, as well as being produced at our facility which may be the country’s most sustainable magazine printing plant,” said Lane Press marketing manager Steven Marshall. “Those factors, combined with vibrant images and exceptional image reproduction, are likely what led it to win the Pinnacle.”
PINE, a subset of Printing Industries of America, honors superb craftsmanship in the creation, design, and production of top-quality printed materials in its annual competition.
