Dave Loebsack: Life after Cornell
Congressman Dave Loebsack was first elected to national office in 2006 and was reelected in November 2018 for a seventh term in the U.S. House of Representatives serving Iowa’s Second Congressional District. “I’ve fought to grow the economy, ensure any child who wants to can afford to attend college, and protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare,” says Loebsack, a Democrat. He currently serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which is the oldest standing committee in the House. Previously he sat on the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and on the House Armed Services Committee.
