Daily Sun publishes article about two Cornells

The Cornell Daily Sun published a story, “A Tale of Two Cornells: How an Applicant to Cornell University Ended Up at Cornell College” on Nov. 25, 2018.

The Sun is an independent college newspaper run by the students of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

The story focuses on the confusion that can exist between Cornell College and Cornell University. Cornell College in Iowa was founded in 1853, 12 years before the similarly named university got its start.

The reporter interviewed Martin Rosenfeld ’20 about how he accidentally applied to Cornell College instead of Cornell University.

The story says Rosenfeld ended up attending Cornell College, and it was the best decision he’s ever made. “I don’t regret it at all. My time at Cornell has been fantastic. I can’t imagine being as successful as I am here anywhere else,” he told the Daily Sun reporter.

Rosenfeld also talked about his dreams to become a neurosurgeon and how he enjoys learning on the block plan.
