Richard Thomas – Life after Cornell
The Rev. Richard Thomas
History, chaplain, 1967-1996
“Rev” continues to lead and serve on historical societies and preservation commissions. For the past 18 years, for example, he has mapped thousands of sites for the Linn County Historic Structures Study. Six years ago he started Cottage College, a lecture series at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, retirement community where he and several other Cornell emeriti faculty reside. He’s also completing a memoir and family history. “My life has been an effort to tell our stories,” he says. “Stories enrich our lives and our sense of where we come from.”
