National radio production highlights Cornell College research
“The Academic Minute,” which airs on Northeast Public Radio, featured a week-long series of reports about research happening at Cornell College.
Featured projects include Profesor Tammy Mildenstein (fruit bats), Professor Erin Davis (LGBTQ homeless), Professor Hans Hassell (political candidates and media coverage), Professor Brian Johns (virtual reality practice for doctors), and Professor Melinda Green (eating disorders). The stories all stem from the work they did over the summer during the Cornell Summer Research Institute.
Professor Cindy Strong’s research was also featured in an independent report on “The Academic Minute.”
According to the website, “The Academic Minute” features researchers from colleges and universities around the world, keeping listeners abreast of what’s new and exciting in the academy and of all the ways academic research contributes to solving the world’s toughest problems and to serving the public good.
