Holtz ’86 accepts Leadership & Service Award
Fred Holtz, class of 1986, your passion for innovation and commitment to connecting people inspire us all.
Throughout your professional career in sales and account management, you have consistently brought different stakeholders together to create cutting-edge solutions for companies like Sherwin-Williams, Hewlett-Packard, and Kodak.
Your work does not stop at the office. You are an active volunteer in your local community in North Carolina as well as a long-term ambassador to the college. You have served as president of The Crossings homeowners association and are a current board member for the Channel Harbor homeowners association. You are an active volunteer in the computer lab and on food drives with St. Mark Catholic Church.
Cornell College has benefited from your volunteer leadership over several decades. You served as president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and helped lead the transformation of Cornell’s alumni program through the Alumni Task Force. You have brought alumni from the Carolinas together for in-person gatherings and as a class agent kept people connected through your wonderful letters and chair of your 30th class reunion during Homecoming 2016. And you have encouraged Cornellians across generations to contribute to the Color It Purple day of giving as a Purple Pride Ambassador.
On behalf of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the entire Cornell community, we honor your exemplary commitment to Cornell College with the Leadership and Service Award.
