Senior art exhibits open April 10
Cornell College seniors are gearing up for their end-of-the-year showcases. The first of two art exhibitions will display the work of three senior art majors. It will run from April 10 to April 20 in the Peter Paul Luce Gallery of Mcwethy Hall. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, April 10, from 2-4 p.m.
The students used a number of different perspectives and materials to create their senior projects.
Dani Polewko has used analog photography to make a collection of introspective and experimental portraits of herself.
Dakota Schee has created interactive installations of non-traditional materials, exploring each medium’s unique and wondrous qualities.
Jenah Vandersall has used digital photography to explore water in a way that forces the viewer to look closer at its forms and think more abstractly in regards to water itself.
The Luce Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free, and the shows are open to the public.
The second exhibit will take place starting April 23 and 24. More information will be available soon on those projects.
