Write-in candidate Johnson Pendleton ’87 visits Jan. 14

U.S. presidential write-in candidate and Cornell College alumna Cathy Johnson Pendleton ’87 will speak at Cornell at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, in Shaw Lounge of the Thomas Commons. The Town Meeting event is open to the public and is part of a presidential candidates visit series.

Pendleton is running as a Democrat. She is the founder of GAM-JAM Publishing Company and lives in Laurel, Maryland.

Guest parking is available in the campus visitor lots, which can be seen on the parking map.

Purpose
Cornell College, a selective liberal arts college in Mount Vernon, Iowa, seeks to engage its students and community in the 2016 presidential election process. In support of Cornell’s mission to develop in students “the intellectual curiosity, creativity, and moral courage necessary for a lifetime of learning and engaged citizenship,” the college encourages student participation in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. Throughout the election season, Cornell will seek to host numerous candidates for the presidency of the United States.
