Kiplinger places Cornell College in top 100 for value
For the sixth year in a row business publisher Kiplinger has named Cornell College one of the 100 best values in liberal arts colleges.
The ranking system considers the competitiveness of the admission process, academic support offered by the college, cost and financial aid, and student indebtedness. Cornell is ranked No. 71 on this year’s list, the second-highest ranked school in Iowa.
“Ensuring that Cornell College provides excellent value to our students is a top priority,” said Colleen Murphy, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission. “We’re pleased that Kiplinger has again recognized our commitment to offering a life-changing education that’s affordable and accessible.”
Cornell is nationally recognized for its value, including by the Fiske Guide to Colleges, which named Cornell College one of the 24 “Best Buys” among private colleges. Ninety-three percent of Cornell graduates earn their degrees in four years. In 2013 Cornell was named one of the 25 colleges with the best professors by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity.
