The Fall Harvest festival, sponsored by Bon Appétit, is in its second year.

The festival, which started last year, connects students and community members to the farmers who produce the food that Bon Appétit serves on campus. Planned events include apple bobbing, live music, and a pumpkin dessert contest.

The farmers will have produce for sale, as well as meat, eggs, bakery items and crafts. Bon Appétit, which has been Cornell’s dining services provider since 2012, buys 40 percent of the food served on campus within 150 miles of Mount Vernon, Iowa, and is committed to sustainability, local food production, and seasonal cooking. Earlier this year, it was ranked the second-best food in the nation by bestcolleges.com.
