Cornell College ranked among the top 100 national liberal arts colleges
Cornell College is one of the top 100 national liberal arts colleges, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The 2016 U.S. News & World Report annual guide to “America’s Best Colleges” ranks Cornell College in the top tier among national liberal arts colleges. Cornell is ranked 93rd out of the 176 ranked liberal arts colleges. Even more telling, Cornell is also included on the unranked list “A+ Schools for B Students,” which recognizes the college’s commitment to recruiting a well-rounded student body.
“We’re pleased to be recognized in the top tier of national liberal arts colleges,” said Colleen Murphy, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission. “Our One Course At A Time curriculum provides students the chance to dive into their studies and focus more intensely on the disciplines of their choice. It also offers the unique freedom to shed the confines of the traditional classroom to study off-campus, pursue research, or accept an internship—all without missing out on other classes.”
One of the 40 “Colleges That Change Lives,” Cornell College has been recognized by numerous publications for the value its education offers and for academic excellence. This year it was named one of the 100 best values in liberal arts education by Kiplinger’s, and was named a “Best Buy” by the Fiske Guide to Colleges. In 2013 Cornell was named one of the 25 colleges with the best professors by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity.
