Cornell College a Fiske Guide Best Buy
Cornell College is one of 24 private colleges and universities that are a “Best Buy” in the 2016 edition of the “Fiske Guide to Colleges.”
The Best Buy list recognizes schools that fall into the inexpensive or moderate price category and have excellent academic ratings. This is the fourth time in five years that Cornell College was named a best buy. It is the only private college or university in Iowa on the list, and one of three schools in the state included.
“College affordability and value are a major concern for parents and students,” said Colleen Murphy, vice president for enrollment and admission. “We are extremely proud of the valuable, life-changing education that Cornell College offers, and we are pleased that Fiske Guide has again named Cornell a best buy school. We are committed to providing quality financial assistance to its talented student body, and we know that our graduates are resourceful, flexible, and capable professionals who succeed in every endeavor.”
The “Fiske Guide to Colleges” has been published for more than 30 years, and was created by former New York Times education editor, Edward B. Fiske.
Cornell has been recognized by numerous publications for the value its education offers and for academic excellence. This year it was named of the 100 best values in liberal arts education by Kiplinger’s, one of the “Best Value Schools” among national liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report, and one of the 100 Affordable Elite Colleges by Washington Monthly.
