Dimensions 2014-15 highlights
2014-15 was a great year for Dimensions: The Center for the Science and Culture of Healthcare.
During Block 2, three students attended Operation Walk in Vietnam, where they observed medical professionals from the United States and Vietnam perform joint replacement surgeries and assisted with physical therapy and other aspects of medical care before and after surgery.
And this fall, Cornell College will send Dimensions alumni to pursue further education throughout the Midwest. Graduating seniors and alumni will matriculate to doctor of physical therapy programs in Colorado, medical schools (allopathic) in Illinois and Wisconsin, physician assistant programs in Iowa and Mississippi, a doctor of pharmacy program in Illinois, and a Ph.D. program in genetics in Iowa.
The admission rate for Cornellians applying to medical school stands at 79.2% (2008-14) compared to the national average at 41.2% during the same time frame.
