5 senior art shows open April 12
Five Cornell College seniors will present their senior thesis art exhibits from April 12 through 22 in the Peter Paul Luce Gallery and April 12 through May 10 in Cole Library.
There will be an opening reception on April 12 from 2-4 p.m. in both the Luce Gallery and the library.
The seniors involved are:
- Trista Deaver from Waukesha, Wisconsin, has created an installation about actual events from her past by constructing an environmental space and using body prints.
- Casey Dennis from Sierra Vista, Arizona, has experimented with street art and pop culture and has brought it inside a gallery setting.
- Kate Hole from Plainfield, Illinois, has created a fictional environment through the eyes of a field explorer by showing drawings and models of her world.
- Haley Severance-Burris from Las Vegas has looked at the artistic process and created a show to help illustrate her look at artistic creation and inspirations around her.
- Audrey Zaninni from Flagstaff, Arizona, whose show is in Cole Library, has created realistic colored pencil drawings that come to life with the use of 3-dimensional paper manipulations.
The Peter Paul Luce Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Cole Library is open daily, and the schedule is available on the library website. Admission is free and open to the public.
