Alumnus wins award for emerging theatre professionals
Tyler Jacobson ’09 won the United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s Stage Management award, one of the institute’s awards for young designers and technicians in the performing arts.
The award, presented at the institute’s annual conference, held March 18-21 in Cincinnati, recognizes an emerging professional who shows excellent stage management skills. Jacobson, who graduated with a B.S.S. in stage management, is now an M.F.A. student at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, studying production and stage management. He will graduate in May.
Winners of the award demonstrate effective rehearsal and performance management, effective collaboration, and technical ability, among other qualities.
