As First Data’s chief operations officer you lead the company’s global operations, overseeing 13,000 employees. Before joining First Data, you were executive vice president at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where you were responsible for firm-wide process improvement and managed the integration efforts of the high-profile merger with Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual. You previously held the position of managing director at Citigroup—where you served multiple roles, including head of high-net-worth operations at Smith Barney—and where you were a founding member of their Global Transaction Services Women’s Council.

You hold a master’s degree in information management from Syracuse University, which you serve as a Trustee, and are Chair of the Foundation Board of the Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY’s largest community college. Your deep commitment to education inspired you to help found the JPMorgan Chase Technology Center at Syracuse, where students and faculty work side-by-side with bank employees, conducting research and running global technology operations. You also created a fellowship that provides financial support for doctoral students during summer months so that they may complete their degrees in a timely manner.

At Cornell you were involved in Alpha Sigma Pi, basketball, and Student Senate and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1983 with an English major. You and your husband, Vincent Dopulos, Class of 1982, have two daughters, Katherine and Phoebe.

Christine, on behalf of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the entire Cornell community, we honor your exemplary career and commitment to education with the Leadership and Service Award.
