Not long ago, monarchs could be seen during September, streaming in a southwestern direction over Iowa as they headed to their wintering grounds in Mexico. These iconic butterflies are rapidly disappearing, greatly because of the lack of habitat and an essential food source – milkweed. There are simple methods to reverse this trend and YOU can make a difference!
