Professor discusses U.S. House on Iowa Public Radio
Hans Hassell, assistant professor of politics at Cornell College, was on the Iowa Public Radio program “River to River” on Tuesday to talk about John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of the House.
Hassell’s research, which has also been featured in the Washington Post, looks at how divided government can affect public perception of political leaders like Boehner.
Hassell told the show’s hosts that while people often think of leadership as an individual’s actions, the political environment has more of an effect than we might realize.
