Children of alumni eligible for $2,000 award

Cornell College has begun awarding $2,000 in special financial assistance to children and grandchildren of alumni who are newly admitted to the college. These students are commonly known as legacy students.

Legacy students who will enter the college beginning in 2014-15 are eligible for a $2,000 legacy award. The award is in addition to any other merit or need-based financial aid that legacy students qualify for.

“The legacy award celebrates a family tradition of attending Cornell College,” said Colleen Murphy, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission.
