Sue Lifson, Cornell College librarian and professor emerita, died Oct. 10. She was 76. A Celebration of Life is set for 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
Lifson, who was married to Hugh Lifson, professor of art emeritus, worked at Cornell from 1975 until her retirement in 1999. Before coming to Cornell Lifson ran the children’s program at the Brooklyn Public Library and worked for the Cedar Rapids College Community school district. In addition to her work, she was deeply involved with the League of Women Voters and the First Presbyterian Church.
