Michael Mudlaff ’88, Charlie Boone ’88, and Cornell President Jonathan Brand

Class agents shoulder the responsibility of keeping thousands of Cornell alumni connected to the Hilltop and with each other. The letters you write demonstrate vividly your commitment to the college and to your fellow alumni.

Your commitment to the Hilltop from Des Moines, Iowa, where you, Michael, serve as a senior pastor at Westkirk Presbyterian Church, and from Arlington, Virginia, where you, Charlie, perform your duties as vice-president of client services with Adirondack Solutions, keeps Cornellians all over the United States connected to their common home in Mount Vernon.

You both continue the tradition of service leadership so ingrained in the history of Cornell: Michael, with co-founding and serving on the Board of Directors for the Urbandale Food Pantry, and Charlie, with your work as a youth sports coach and with your children’s schools.

Thank you both for your outstanding quarter century of service as class agents. Michael and Charlie, you perform your duties with humor and honesty. In writing these class letters, you’ve been generous with your time and your spirits, to the benefit of the entire Cornell community.

Congratulations on your Leadership and Service Award.
