Kendall Meyer ’65
Lawyer and life trustee Kendall Meyer ’65 died Oct. 27, 2012, in Ponte Verda, Fla. He was 69 years old.
Meyer majored in biology at Cornell and was a two-sport athlete and member of the “C” Club. After graduation he attended the University of Iowa College of Law. He was a practicing lawyer for more than 40 years and a managing partner at the law firm Wilson & McIlvane, which he joined in 1974. His work there ranged from bringing a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil to the Chicago Field Museum to working on a case against the government of Iran.
Meyer served on the college’s board of trustees for nine years before becoming a life trustee. He was the driving force behind the Meyer Strength Training Center, which opened at Cornell in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Adams Meyer ’67, and two children.
