Two trustees elected

The Cornell College Board of Trustees elected two members at their meeting in late October. They are: Neil Eckles ’62 and Sheryl Atkinson Stoll ’70. Taylor Koch ’12 attended her first board meeting as a young trustee.

Eckles serves as Chairman of the Board of Blue Earth Valley Communications in Blue Earth, Minn.  He is a past member of the Cornell College Board of Trustees, serving two terms from 1992- 2011. He also served as a member of the Extraordinary Opportunities Campaign Steering Committee and spearheaded the Law Hall Technology Center campaign.  He and his wife Susan have a grown son and live in Blue Earth.

Stoll is a retired partner with the firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease in Columbus, Ohio.  From 2002-2011,  she was a member of the Cornell College Board of Trustees, where she served as Vice Chair for the Enrollment and Student Affairs Policy Committee.  Sheryl has been a driving force behind the Center for Law and Society.  She and her husband, Bill, have a grown daughter and divide their time between Dallas, Texas, and Columbus, Ohio.

Koch is the Young Trustee from the class of 2012. She graduated in May with a major in Spanish. She served as Student Senate President from 2011-2012 and is pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Indiana.
