Peace vigil set for Oct. 18
A Candlelight Interfaith Vigil for Peace & Global Healing, with re-cap of recent events in Syria and Libya, will take place Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in Allee Chapel on Cornell College’s campus.
The gathering is in response to recent violence and acts of terror, to spiritually resist hatred and misuse of religion, and to pray for healing peace. Middle East scholar, Dr. Aaron Hagler, opens with a talk and Q&A followed by cross-cultural and interfaith prayers and reflections by students, faculty, and staff. The event is sponsored by the Chaplain & Spiritual Life Office including Interfaith Understanding and Soulfriends, Muslim Student Association, Hillel, Intercultural Life, and RCCA.
