Two alumni named to board of trustees
The Cornell College Board of Trustees has elected two new members: Lynn Luce Kitt ’91 and Dr. Loren Hiratzka ’66.
Kitt is a past Alumni Board member and served as an admissions mentor. She has worked as the Director of Alumni Programs at the Kent Denver School. She is actively engaged as a board member of the Denver Zoo. She is the daughter of Life Trustee and Honorary Alumnus Peter Paul Luce. Kitt and her husband Lance reside in Denver, Colo. with their twin children, Ella and Peter.
Hiratzka, who was given the college’s Distinguished Achievement Award in October 2011, is among the most highly respected surgeons practicing in the field of cardiac-thoracic surgery. He has made contributions as a researcher, as a teacher and presenter. He was a member of the team that performed the first heart transplant in Iowa. Hiratzka lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife, Debra.
