Korslund co-authors report on values-based banking

David Korslund ’76, a senior advisor at the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, has co-authored a report for the alliance that shows banks that make decisions based on values are outperforming traditional banks.

An article about the report says:

A new study shows that sustainable values-based banks, which base their decisions first and foremost on the needs of people and the environment, are outperforming traditional mainstream banks in many areas, including financial indicators such as return on assets, growth in loans and deposits, and capital strength, making a compelling case for values-based banking.

Korslund, who was given the Leadership and Service Award in 2011 for his distinguished career in finance, has worked for the alliance since 2009. Before that, he was an executive vice president at ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands.
