A fundraiser with Turkish items will be held on the OC on Nov 10th. Purchases assist the people of Van, Turkey--home of visiting Islamic Professor Nilay Ozok-Gundogan--whose earthquake-rattled city has seen many dead and missing, and thousands of people homeless and without warmth as winter sets in. Funds are directed toward Nilay’s recommended NGO--Van Women's Association (Van Kadin Dernegi/VAKAD) historically known for their work on women's rights and their ability to reach the poorest of poor.
