Hunger Banquet

Find out your fate as you acquire an identity at the door on Nov 16th. A meaningful, interactive, educational eating experience that enfolds learning about the distribution of wealth, access to food, and local and global hunger. Consider bringing a free-will offering of a canned good, ramen noodles, etc. for an area food pantry.

Guest speaker is Bob Untiedt, director of the Food Reservoir at HACAP which provides a variety of anti-poverty programs and collaborates with community partners to serve individuals and families within this six-county region. As a member of Feeding America, the Nation’s Food Bank Network, HACAP Food Reservoir channels donated products to area soup kitchens, pantries, senior and daycare centers, drug and alcohol treatment centers, homeless shelters and other nonprofit food programs that feed those in need.

Must R.S.V.P. in advance to cbuck13 to attend; deadline is noon Monday, Nov. 14. Co-sponsored by the Chaplain and Spiritual Life Office and its Soul Friend and Interfaith Exploration teams, Civic Engagement, Sister4Sisters, STEP, MSA, and SKYS.
