10th Anniversary of Sept. 11: An Inter-Spiritual Observance for National & Global Healing
Remember. Reflect. Respect. Renew commitment to defiant love, humanity, hope, peacemaking, and inter-religious understanding and graciousness in the face of fear, ignorance, and hate. This event enfolds inter-spiritual prayers of healing peace for those who died on 9/11, and amid the bombings and warring since. Participants include President Brand, Rabbi Todd Thalblum and Cantor Kathy Goldstein of Temple Judah, Muslim U of I student Reema Ajram, Cornell student leaders, Fr. Cathy and others. Will acknowledge and thank vets, their families, and police and fire personnel. Peace Pole gathering is located beside Allee Chapel (in case of bad weather, attendees should gather inside).
Sponsored by the Chaplain and Spiritual Life Office, Soul Friends, and Interfaith Understanding and Exploration leadership teams.
