Poet speaking March 8
Emma Ramey will speak in Hedges conference room in the Commons at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.
Ramey is originally from the Seattle area. She received her MFA from the University of Alabama and now teaches at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is the Assistant Poetry Editor for DIAGRAM. Her poems have appeared in Born Magazine, Post Road, Sentence: A Journal of Prose Poetics, Octopus, the Mississippi Review, and many others. She is also the author of A Numerical Devotion, a chapbook from New Michigan Press. Her unique voice is evident in such poem titles as “The Real Estate Agent Drops In Unexpectedly,” “Flash Mob Teen Violence,” and “Dear Miami Vice.”
