Relay for Life honored
Cornell College’s 2010 Relay for Life raised $35.97 per person, the most money per-capita in the Midwest Division of College Events, and more than double the amount raised by the second-place event.
This is the fourth year the event has been honored for its fundraising. The event raised more than $41,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Two individuals were also honored for their work raising money. Jeff Meeker and Truman Jordan were the Midwest Division Top Fundraising Individuals for College Events, raising $3,490 and $3,195 for the American Cancer Society, respectively.
This year’s Relay for Life will be April 15 and 16, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the Small Multi-Sport Center. Registration for teams is now open at www.relayforlife.org/cornell
